Life (June 23, 2010 12:46 A.M.)

Life is a string of events and experiences held together by our desire to live. You may be living for someone else, or you might be living to accomplish a goal. living for someone else can be interpreted many different ways. You moght be trying to make someone happy or you might be trying to prove yourself. It may also mean that you love someone so much that you can’t imagine your life without them. Living to accomplish something can also mean a lot of different things. You might be working at a particular job in order to get promoted to a specific position that you want at the time. You might be working towards retirement or you just might be working so you can buy yourself a drink. The point is, some goals are long term and some are short but either way it’s those things that string our life along from event to experience. The question that I have is, what if you don’t have either of those things? No one to live for and no goals to strive for? Yes I know a person can always set goals, but what if there isn’t anything you’re interested in living for? What happens when tomorrow just doesn’t interest you. There’s no driving force compelling you to seek tomorrow. It’s true, tomorrow may bring another life event or experiece, but without knowing I personally don’t find that a reason to go on
